Wallingford Adult Education Technology Program
Wallingford Adult Education provides students with the technology training they need to meet their personal and professional goals.
The Learning Center computer lab is located in the Wallingford railroad station building at 37 Hall Avenue. Our second computer lab is in the Hall Elton building at 43 Hall Avenue. Both buildings have wireless internet capabilities and laptop computers in addition to the desktop computers in our labs.
Our Technology program provides:
- Computer Instruction for ABE, GED, ESL , EDP, Workforce Preparation and High School Credit Diploma students
- Computer Instruction includes: Word processing, Internet, E-Mail, Desktop Publishing, Digital Photography and PowerPoint training
- Resume Creation and Job Search Assistance for students
- Staff Development Training
- Tech Support for students and staff
- Keyboard appliances, digital cameras and laptop computers for student loan
Our Technology Coordinator Pam Andersen first started teaching computer courses for Walllingford Adult Education in 1998. Before joining us she designed the first series of computer classes for Senior Citizens at Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT.
Pam has a B.A. from UCONN, and a Master's of Arts and Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University. She holds a Connecticut State Certification in Adult Education.
